On Thursday night, petrol prices in Luxembourg saw a significant increase as SP95 and SP98 crossed symbolic thresholds while diesel remains unchanged.

Following diesel, which surpassed the €1.50 mark in June, the prices of SP95 (unleaded) and SP98 (premium) have risen in Luxembourg this week.

The price of SP95 petrol rose by 1.8 cents overnight, reaching €1.60 per litre as of Friday.

Similarly, SP98 petrol saw a rise of 2.1 cents per litre, bringing the price to €1.716 as of Friday morning as well.

With this latest increase, SP98 has become the most expensive fuel at petrol stations, while diesel prices remain unchanged at €1.525 per litre.
