Four MPs from The Greens have criticised the government's lack of transparency and respect towards lawmakers in a letter to Chamber President Claude Wiseler following the Prime Minister's recent State of the Nation address.
Four MPs of The Greens at the end of last week expressed their disappointment over the government's conduct in a letter to Claude Wiseler, President of the Chamber of Deputies. The party alleges a lack of respect shown by ministers towards lawmakers after the Prime Minister's State of the Nation address on Tuesday.
After the numerous announcements, including the continuation of energy premiums or the housing package, some press conferences were organised, but apart from one exception, no minister provided explanations to the relevant Chamber commissions, the Greens further lament. Additionally, all recent parliamentary questions from the Greens on these topics are "pending", they wrote.
Wiseler was thus urged to remind the government of its obligations to provide information and stay transparent vis-à-vis parliament.
