Pierre Reding, currently serving as Commissioner for the Luxembourgish language, has been appointed as the acting director of the Centre for the Luxembourgish Language, stepping into the role following the departure of Luc Marteling on 1 May.

Reding, who has a background in education and public service, will lead the centre for a period of five months while a search for a permanent director is underway, as announced by the Ministry of Culture.

Reding is a senior civil servant and has served as Commissioner for the Luxembourgish language for around two years.

Meanwhile, Luc Marteling, the outgoing director, is transitioning to a new role as news director at RTL, succeeding Guy Weber.
