According to the police report, the incident happened in Mertert, near route de Wasserbillig. A patrol was dispatched to the scene to support the victim, who at this point had suffered a hand injury. Fortunately, no further damage was done.
He was given first aid on the spot before being taken to hospital.
The police have also reported the identification and arrest of a suspect, who was brought before the examining magistrate on Sunday afternoon.
