A total of five people were injured in a series of accidents across the country on Monday morning, including one person who was seriously hurt.

The first accident occurred at 6.47am on the main road in Reckange, where a driver hit a tree. He was injured and taken to hospital. Emergency services from Mersch were deployed to the scene.

At 8.18am, another accident was reported on the A13 between Kayl and Schifflange, involving a collision between two cars. Emergency services from Kayl, Rumelange and Bettembourg attended the scene. One person was injured in the crash.

Over an hour later, a further accident occurred in Reisdorf on Rue de l’Our, where a car had an accident. One person was injured and treated by rescue teams from Reisdorf and Larochette.

At 9.36am, a serious accident took place on the RN11 between Waldhof and Gonderange, where two vehicles collided. Two people were injured, one of them seriously, police confirmed. The stretch between Waldhof and Gonderange was closed to traffic following the incident. Rescue teams from Niederanven, Junglinster, and Luxembourg City were dispatched to the scene.
