During a check on Avenue Nicolas Kreins in Wiltz on Sunday afternoon, a police patrol detected a strong smell of cannabis coming from a vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered small quantities of the drug. A roadside drug test returned a positive result and a report was filed against the driver.

At around 1.30am, another patrol in Rodange stopped a vehicle on Rue Fontaine d’Olière after noticing careless driving. The driver tested positive for alcohol and was issued with a provisional driving ban.

Shortly afterwards, police in Rodange also checked a female motorist whose car was stationary in the road with the engine still running. An alcohol test later confirmed she was under the influence. Her driving licence was provisionally withdrawn.
