On Friday evening shortly after 7pm, authorities responded to a reported altercation at a bar in the Gare district. While no suspects were found at the scene, an injured individual was discovered in the vicinity of the establishment.

The man, who appeared to be intoxicated, was uncooperative, directing insults towards both police officers and emergency personnel present at the scene. The man's hostility persisted even during transportation to the hospital, where he made several death threats.

Following medical treatment, the man was detained in custody for the night, with relevant information shared with the public prosecutor's office.

Several thefts reported

On Friday afternoon, police were called to a bus stop in Esch-sur-Sûre to investigate the theft of a backpack and its contents.

In Luxembourg City, a wallet and mobile phone were stolen from a backpack.

Thieves in Rosport managed to remove a secured racing bike from a lamppost, breaking the anti-theft mechanism. Another complaint cited the theft of three fishing rods from a trailer in the same vicinity.

During the early hours of Saturday, a pickpocket targeted a bar in Bonnevoie, stealing the mobile phone of a waitress during a brief moment of inattention.

Drink-driving

One person had their driving licence revoked. A police patrol observed a vehicle speeding on Route d'Esch in Luxembourg City. Upon inspection, the driver's blood alcohol content was found to be above the legal limit.
