Around 5pm on Sunday, the driver of an emergency service vehicle lost control in a left turn and crossed on to the opposing lane. This led to a head-on collision with a car driving in the direction of Angelsberg. The driver of the latter vehicle still tried avoiding the collision, but ended up being pushed into a road-side ditch as a result of the crash.
The emergency vehicle then collided with a second oncoming car.
Five passengers were in each of the cars. One person was severely injured and flown to a hospital by a rescue helicopter. The road had to be closed to traffic after the accident.
