Though renovation of the car park has been completed, access is currently reserved to government employees. However, the public is expected to use the parking by the end of the year.
It is no secret that parking in the capital can sometimes be more than just a small challenge, especially in the Old Town area.
While motorists have recently been able to use part of the Knuedler car park again, the Saint-Esprit parking, which has been completely renovated, will remain closed to the public and reserved for government employees for several more months to come. This is due to the fact that their car park is also undergoing renovation at the moment.
Satin-Esprit was closed to the public in October 2020 for a complete renovation, which lasted 18 months. Every floor now has a specific colour scheme, individual spots have been made bigger, and there is new room for bicycles. Charging stations for electric vehicles have also been installed.
According to Minister for Mobility and Public Works François Bausch, the underground car park should be accessible to the public once again in autumn 2023, either in September or October.
