The new government pre-financing model will deduct climate subsidies directly from the installer’s invoice, without households waiting for the money to be reimbursed from the state. This new system also applies to the battery for electric storage.

In practical terms, installing companies must now submit the demand for the subsidies via Guichet.lu for their customers, whether they are private households, syndicates or otherwise. The maximum subsidy amount for solar panels is a performance of up to 15 kilowatts peak (kWc) and in this case reaches €10,000.

The transition phase will last until 4 March, in which clients have until this date to decide whether they want to use the old system or the pre-financing system when ordering solar panels.

For anyone interested in purchasing solar panels, it may be useful to know that the Climate Agency website has a calculator for all possible subsidies.
