The Bridges and Roads Authority issued a statement on Friday morning to announce that construction work of the Frisange slip road will be completed over the weekend.

The opening of the slip road brings an 18-year-long dispute to a conclusion.

Reason for the continued delay of the construction was the respective land owner's unwillingness to sell part of his property to the State. Following a court ruling in April, construction work was finally able to begin in mid May.

The new A13 slip road opened for traffic at 6am on Monday morning.
