The cyclist suffered injuries to the shoulder and elbow near house number 7A. Initial findings suggest the van brushed against the cyclist while its driver was overtaking on the left, causing the cyclist to fall onto the edge of the pavement.
The driver did not stop to help or deal with any damage. Police believe the vehicle was a grey Peugeot van with a ladder fixed to the left rear door and yellow licence plates.
