4,800 new Covid-19 infections were recorded between 28 February and 6 March, which represents a 2% increase compared to the previous seven day period.
24 people were hospitalised after contracting coronavirus, out of which five were in need of intensive care. The average age of hospitalised patients decreased from 62 to 57.
Last week, seven people who infected with Covid-19 died. Their average age was 88 years.
Most people still contract the virus in family circles (31%), followed by education settings (12%), and travels abroad (8%).
1,660 pupils tested positive last week, out of which 1,000 were in primary schools.
11,000 people with an average age of 34.2 years were forced into isolation last week. The seven-day incidence rate increased from 736 to 755 cases.
The virus reproduction rate rose from 1.02 to 1.11, while the positivity rate increased from 27 to 28%.
Last week, 3,900 vaccination doses were administered. 470,000 people count as fully vaccinated, which represents a vaccination rate of 78% for people above the age of five.
