Luxembourg's death toll reaches 1,000 as the latest figures report that 1,080 new cases of coronavirus were discovered over the last 24 hours.
3,215 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours, yielding a positive rate of 33.60%.
One new death from Covid-19 was reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 1,000 so far.
There are 27 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, unchanged from Tuesday's report, with five patients in intensive care, unchanged from the last update.
There are 10,649 active infections in Luxembourg, while 178,181 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate is at 1.10.
109 cases were confirmed reinfections, corresponding to a rate of 8.42%.
According to today's report, 479,052 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,269,079 doses have been administered in total. 428,509 people have received a second dose. 361,518 people have received an additional booster.
