3G at workBusy Sunday at the Leudelange test centre

RTL Today
Our colleagues from RTL visited the centre on Sunday to see how many people got tested and how labs are coping with high demand.

With the introduction of the 3G system at work, Luxembourg’s laboratories and certified test spaces have to increase their hours, allowing people to also check their Covid status on Sundays.

The shortage of people taking samples is less complicated on weekends as it allows labs to fall back on substitutes from the sanitary reserves.

The test centres operated by the Luxembourg Army will also be open on weekends, as they allow people who already received one dose of a coronavirus vaccine to get tested for free. However, people will have to take an appointment beforehand.
