Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
13,263 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 28.91%.
There were 1846 cases reported on Friday, 1625 cases on Saturday, and 364 cases on Sunday.
Eight new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 930.
There are 48 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, down two from the last update, with 20 patients in intensive care, down two from Friday’s update.
As of today’s update there are 16,343 active infections in Luxembourg, while 98,766 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate was at 1.49 up from 1.42 on Friday.
467,593 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,117,506 doses have been administered in total. 449,037 people are fully vaccinated. 242,061 people have received an additional booster.
