The update will thus allow the app to scan certificates for their 2G+ status, which means that a person is vaccinated or recovered and either tested or jabbed with a booster shot.
The scan will turn green for people who fulfil all the aforementioned conditions. The app turns orange for people that are fully vaccinated, but still need an additional test. Red means that a certificate only shows a negative test result, or that the certificate is considered invalid altogether.
This means that there are now four functions shown through the app: travel, 3G, 2G, and 2G+. The application updates automatically for people that have already downloaded it or will come in an updated version if downloaded now.
