Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
11,820 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 10.49% for the weekend as a whole.
There were 117 cases reported on Monday, 374 cases on Sunday and 428 cases on Saturday.
Five new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 903.
There are 53 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, down six from the last update, with 18 patients in intensive care, down four from Friday’s update.
As of today’s update there are 5,413 active infections in Luxembourg, while 90,713 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate was at 1, up from 0.97
457,987 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,013,421 doses have been administered in total. 439,914 people are fully vaccinated. 156,442 people have received an additional booster.
