Nursery and primary schoolSainte-Sophie private school proposes voluntary home schooling ahead of Christmas holidays

RTL Today
The Sainte-Sophie private school proposes parents the option of not sending their children to school anymore due to the current Covid-19 situation.

Pupils can also follow classes voluntarily from home. Upon enquiry by our colleagues from RTL.lu, the school’s principal, Alain Simonelli, stated that the administration wanted to meet parents halfway. Nevertheless, the school still expects that the large majority of students will come to school until Friday.

The coronavirus incidence rate is currently particularly high in primary schools. The new Covid-19 law, which MPs are expected to pass on Thursday, does not include any major adaptations in the school sector. So far, Minister of Education Claude Meisch has announced neither an extension of the Christmas holidays, nor generalised remote learning.
