Covid boostersInvites for AstraZeneca after 4 months, 6 months for Pfizer/Biontech and Moderna

RTL Today
The Minister of Health confirmed that booster invitations would be sent out in the week following the fourth or sixth month anniversary of the second dose, depending on the vaccine first administered.

People who received the AstraZeneca vaccine for their first and second doses will be invited for a booster after four months have elapsed, said Paulette Lenert, while people who received Pfizer or Moderna would have to wait six months.

The information was provided as part of a parliamentary response addressed to CSV MP Martine Hansen.

Booster jabs at vaccine centres are only available by appointment; however, people wishing to receive their first jab can be eligible for walk-in appointments.

A fourth centre will open in Findel on Friday, aimed at people waiting for their booster shot.
