Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
9,918 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 9.09% for the weekend as a whole.
There were 79 cases reported on Monday, 376 cases on Sunday and 447 cases on Saturday.
Eight new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 874.
There are 50 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up seven from the last update, with 10 patients in intensive care, unchanged from Friday’s update.
As of today’s update, there are 4,267 active infections in Luxembourg, while 83,869 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate is at 1.16.
445,860 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 903,715 doses have been administered in total. 429,572 people are fully vaccinated.
