During the week from 8 to 14 November, the police conducted reinforced controls across the hospitality sector.

Checks mostly focused on infringements of the CovidCheck system. Police controlled restaurants, bars, and events. In eight locations, officers found infringements, such as organisers or owners not having checked their guests. Ten people were fined for violating sanitary regulations.

During the checks, officers were also made aware of fraudulent CovidCheck certificates. A respective enquiry is already underway. The police have meanwhile issued a statement to remind people that using or creating fraudulent certificates will be met with legal consequences.
