One new death from Covid-19 was reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 849.
4,569 tests were conducted in total over the last 24 hours, yielding a positive rate of 9.46%.
It is the highest daily reported caseload since 17 December, when 449 cases were registered.
There are 29 patients plus one from Belgium in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up five from the previous update, with 13 patients in intensive care, unchanged.
As of today’s update, there are 2,220 active infections in Luxembourg, while 79,554 people have recovered from the virus.
435,658 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 838,598 doses have been administered in total. 417,325 people are fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, the R rate is at 0.68.
