
Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend and public holidays.
Of the 409 new cases, 217 were recorded on Friday, 163 on Saturday, 18 on Sunday and 11 on Monday.
Five new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 848.
7,326 tests were conducted in total over the last 96 hours, yielding a positive rate of 5.58%. The positivity rate for Monday was 2.51%, with 11 cases out of 439 tests.
There are 26 patients plus one from Belgium in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up five from Friday’s update, with 12 patients in intensive care, one more than Friday.
As of today’s update, there are 2,035 active infections in Luxembourg, while 79,209 people have recovered from the virus.
433,961 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 817,070 doses have been administered in total. 422,990 people are fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, the R rate is at 1.05.
