
Out of all new cases that were found last week, 374 patients were not or only partially vaccinated, representing 63.3%. The incidence rate for positive cases per 100,000 citizens over seven days remained stable at 93. The reproduction rate was set at 1.06.
The number of hospitalised patients also remained consistent at 16, while eight people were treated in intensive care units. The average age for hospitalised coronavirus patients was 56 years. 18.1% of hospitalised patients were vaccinated, while the rate for those in intensive care was 24.6%.
Last week, 1,248 people were forced into isolation (+2%), while 3,247 individuals had to quarantine (+28%).
Family circles remain the main source for new infections, followed by education, and travels abroad. In more than 30% of cases, no infection source could be found.
The average age of people contracting the coronavirus was 29.1 years. Between 27 September and 3 October, nobody died in relation to Covid-19.
When it comes to vaccinations, 8,686 doses were administered last week. 1,877 people got their first jab, while 2,739 received the second one. 4,070 people received a booster shot. So far, 407,465 people have been fully vaccinated.
32 people at the schools in Reuler tested positive for Covid-19 last week. 14 out of 22 classes from cycles 2 to 4 were concerned, which meant that additional measures had to be taken. All remaining classes will have to conduct an auto-test on a daily basis.
14 positive infections across eight classes were also found in the Weiswampach primary school.
