Esch-sur-AlzetteRetirement home 'Op der Léier' prohibits visits until Monday

RTL Today
Upon enquiry by our colleagues from RTL.lu, the facility in question confirmed that the decision was taken following the discovery of several cases of Covid-19.

Tests carried out on Friday revealed a number of positive cases. The management of the Integrated centre for the elderly (CIPA) stressed that these were “isolated cases”, and that those concerned are well and not showing any symptoms.

In order to respect the official guidelines, visits will remain prohibited until Monday. The management may grant an exemption from this rule in individual cases.

For the time being, residents will also not eat together in large groups and will be required to wear masks.

The situation is to be assessed by Monday, at which point the management of the “Op der Léier” structure will decide how to proceed.
