STATECLuxembourg's economy back on track after pandemic struggles

RTL Today
The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) published its most recent numbers on growth and expects a record-breaking increase in GDP this year.

During the months of April and June, GDP was close to 12% above last year’s rates during the same periods. It is in fact the greatest increase recorded in the past 25 years.

However, one has to take into consideration that the pandemic hit hardest in 2020, say STATEC officials. They further expressed their confidence that the previously estimated economic growth of 6% is likely to be reached this year.
