In May, 34% of people displayed antibodies against Covid-19, a rate which increased to 87% by September. However, according to Dr Tom Dentzer, virologist from the Health Directorate, one should probably assume that the rate is closer to 78% given that mostly vaccinated people have been tested for antibodies.
After the first infection wave in May 2020, the Convince study only found 2.6% of the population to have antibodies. By now, close to 75% of the adult population in Luxembourg has been vaccinated, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

A total of 773,945 vaccine doses have been administered in Luxembourg (as of 6 September 2021). 1,864 cases of side effects have been reported so far, with 99 people being hospitalised after getting the jab. 15 of those cases were considered life-threatening situations. Nine people died after getting vaccinated.
