Masks will no longer be compulsory in primary schools, unless there is a positive case.

In a scenario 1 case, meaning one positive infection in a class, masks must be put back on again.

According to Radio 100,7, Minister of Education Claude Meisch proposed this solution to the concerned unions. The plan is to further continue testing pupils twice per week and only fall back on masks in case of positive infections.

Union representatives expressed their content over the decision, but lament that the proposal for air filters has not been retained.

The proposal still has to be approved by the coalition partners on the government council on Wednesday.
