The Ministry of Agriculture has presented an initial assessment of the demands for financial aid submitted by professionals in the sector who suffered damage during the floods of 14 and 15 July.

As of 20 August, the ministry has received 153 applications for financial assistance from farms affected by last month's flooding.

These include 17 cases of damaged buildings, 44 cases of material damage to farm equipment and machinery, 629 cases of fodder losses and 134 cases of damaged crops.

The overall amount of damage to date is estimated at 1,650,000 euros, the Ministry of Agriculture concluded.
