The president of the supreme court sat down with RTL for an interview on Wednesday morning.
"We were not involved by the administration until the issue of enforced hospitalisation arose", Wiwinius stated during his interview.
He further underlined that with the writing of new laws, the devil would remain in the details and attention should be paid at all times.
The matter of enforced hospitalisation is especially intricate, Wiwinius implying that adaptations in the current documents still needed to be made.
When it comes to safety regulations inside the courts, as for instance the wearing of masks, he plead for common sense to be applied.
Since last week, many courts have been provided with protective glass walls. The decision on the continuation of mandatory mask wearing will be with the president of the respective chamber commission.
According to Wiwinius, the lockdown did not have a major impact on written court procedures, but generated a considerable gridlock in criminal, peace, and economic trials.
