ConfirmedTripartite announced for July

RTL Today
On Wednesday morning, the government met with social partners in Senningen Castle for final discussions.

First, the government had a meeting with trade unions followed by a discussion with employers.

The president of the Federation of Private Businesses (UEL), Nicolas Buck, confirmed that employers are willing to participate in a tripartite in July. This was also confirmed by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. A corresponding proposal is to be discussed in the state council.

Trade unions stated that the talks were "constructive" without going into too much detail as for example about the modalities of short-time work. The president of the Independent Trade Union (OGBL), Nora Back, expressed relief over the government's assurance that there are no austerity measures planned. She also shares some of the concerns expressed by the Confederation of Public Servants (CGFP) when it comes to the Covid-laws. Forced hospitalisation was out of the question, she stated.
