Data thieves have implemented another phishing attempt, sending messages purporting to be friends on Facebook Messenger in order to steal personal information. The message reads "Hi, is it you in this video?" in Luxembourgish, followed by a link.
The link does not lead to a video, but to a site where you will be invited to log in with your social media credentials. If you fall victim to this scam, it is advised to immediately change your password on all the online services on which you use the same username and the same combination. The police also recommend deleting the message and blocking the person who sent it to you.
If it is not a fake account but the real profile of an acquaintance, notify them via another means of communication that it has been hacked.
