According to the authorities, a truck overturned on the road near the Belgian container terminal at Athus just after 10am, close to the Luxembourg and French borders.
Several motorists report traffic disruptions in the area, in particular on the avenue of Europe, especially on Rue de Freihaut and Route de Longwy.
A detour was set up via Rodange and Pétange. Rue du Stade de Pétange is closed towards Belgium. The police closed off a wide area surrounding the incident and did not allow the press any access to the scene.
