Shortly after 2.30am on Tuesday, the Hesperange fire brigade was called out to two cars ablaze in a parking lot on Rue de Contern in Itzig.
As firefighters arrived in Itzig, one of the vehicles had been completely taken over by the flames.
The operations centre in Hesperange reported that the fires were brought under control quickly.

At around 8.45pm on Monday, a car caught fire between Windhof and Garnich. Nobody was injured.
At roughly 7.20pm, a scooter went up in flames in Kirchberg on Avenue John F. Kennedy. Once again, the consequences were limited to material damages.
Just before 6.00pm on Monday, a car and a motorbike collided on Route de Longwy in Bertrange. One person was injured.
In yet another incident, a car and a motorbike collided between Sandweiler and the Contern train station at around 5.30pm resulting in one person suffering minor injuries.
