A fire broke out in Bettembourg at about 8pm on Saturday. In Hesperange's Rue d'Itzig, two cars went up in flames at 3am on Sunday morning.

Just after 8pm on Saturday evening, a fire broke out on the property of a company in Bettembourg's Wolser industrial zone. The fire brigades from Bettembourg and Dudelange were on site. An ambulance from Bettembourg was also deployed, but luckily no one sustained any physical harm.

In the small hours of Sunday morning, at about 3am, emergency services were called to another incident - this time in Hesperange. In Rue d'Itzig, two cars had gone up in flames for unknown reasons.  The Hesperange was at the scene and the police also attended the site of the incident. Thanks to some quick thinking and a fire extinguisher, the police succeeded in preventing the fire from spreading to a nearby van.
