1. See adaptation of The Little Prince

This year’s end-of-year show is a contemporary adaption of Saint-Exupery’s masterpiece The Little Prince. Blending choreography, aerial acrobatics and video projections, the production is likely to captivate audiences as of 6 years old. The show is in French with German and English subtitles.
2. Visit City market for local products
What: All your NYE food shopping, perhaps?

Find regional and seasonal products, flowers and plants, fruit and vegetables, fish, meat, breads and pastries, roast chickens, pastas, cheeses and all kinds of other artisanal products at the twice-weekly City market on Place Guillaume II. Due to the holidays there are no markets on 25 December and 1 January, so this is the one for the week.
3. Attend last full weekend of Winterlights
What: Winter wonderland
Where: Various locations around City centre
When: Until Wednesday, 1 January 2025
This is the final full weekend of Luxembourg City's much-loved Winterlights, running until 2 January. The festival, which includes traditional Christmas markets, ice skating, and illuminated decorations, is one of the city's annual highlights, drawing both locals and international visitors. Enjoy this family event for the last time in 2024.

4. Join a hip hop workshop
What: Community gathering

Open Floor Hip Hop is a free dance space dedicated to freestyle hip hop, inviting participants from all backgrounds and levels every Thursday night to Rotondes. Join the community and learn together. Free access for first-time participants.

5. Watch Poor Things
What: One of 2024's best films
Where: Cinémathèque, Place du Théâtre L-2613 Luxembourg
When: Friday, 27 December at 7pm - info & tickets
Brought back to life by an unorthodox scientist, a young woman runs off with a lawyer on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, she grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation. A fantastic creation by director Yorgos Lanthimos.
6. Find second-hand items in Roodt sur Syre
What: Music for a good cause
Where: 3-5 Rue d'Olingen, 6832 Roodt sur Syre

The commune of Betzdorf hosts a second-hand corner every second and fourth Saturday of the month, between 9.30am and 12.30pm. Besides finding new items, you can also drop off things you no longer need (see here what is allowed).

7. Join a family hike in the Eislek
What: Walk, activities & meal
Where: Starting point is 11, Grand-Rue, 9710 Clervaux

Join a 5-km family hike from the Robbesscheier, including a game book that needs filling out and two activities in the forest.
