The eldest son of Luxembourg’s Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla, Prince Paul-Louis of Nassau, has graduated from Sandhurst Military Academy in the UK.
The prince was one of 250 cadets to graduate in a ceremony that took place on 14 August and he also took part in the Sovereign Parade.
Prince Paul-Louis is the grandson of the late Grand Duke Jean and the late Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte and the nephew of reigning Grand Duke Henri.
The Prince was one of the speakers at his grandfather’s 2019 funeral.
Paul-Louis’s graduation follows in the footsteps of his late grandfather. The family tradition has also seen two uncles (Grand Duke Henri and Prince Jean) and cousins, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Prince Sébastien pass through the acclaimed academy.
Prince Paul-Louis, 22, is ninth in the line of succession to the Grand Ducal Throne.
“Congratulations to HRH Prince Paul-Louis of Luxembourg one of 250 officer cadets who will complete their training today at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and participate in the Sovereign’s Parade. He continues a fine family tradition,” said The British Ambassador to Luxembourg via Twitter.
Tessy Antony-de Nassau, the former wife of Paul-Louis’s cousin Prince Louis, congratulated him on the Twitter post saying: “He’s a great person” and “Bravo!”
