Princess Claire, who is married to Prince Félix of Luxembourg, celebrates her 39th birthday on Thursday.
Princess Claire of Luxembourg, born in Filderstadt, Germany, on 21 March 1985, is the second child of Hartmut and Gabriele Lademacher. At eleven years old, she emigrated with her parents to the USA and lived in Atlanta until 1999 when the family returned to Germany. Later on, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in international communication in Paris.
In December 2012, Princess Claire became engaged to Prince Félix of Luxembourg, and the couple married on 21 September the following year. Upon her marriage, she was granted the title 'Her Royal Highness Princess Claire'.
The couple has three children: a daughter, Princess Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, who was born on 15 June 2014, a son, Prince Liam Henri Hartmut, born on 28 November 2016, and another son, Prince Balthasar Felix Karl, born on 7 January of this year.
