INGREDIENTS

For the Dough

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 10 grams instant yeast
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 250 ml warm milk
  • 75 grams unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling

  • 100 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 150 grams brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Sugar Glaze

  • 150 grams powdered sugar
  • 30 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Wait for it to become frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and egg. Combine.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until smooth. Let it rise for an hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  5. Roll out the dough into a 40x30 cm rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the butter.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into 12 slices.
  9. Place slices on the baking tray.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Sugar Glaze

  1. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the sugar glaze over warm cinnamon buns.
