Creative drawing workshop for children aged 6 and up.

ManuKultura invites young artists to explore their creativity through this hands-on drawing course designed for children from Cycle 2 onwards. Led by an experienced instructor, the workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of drawing and painting, including composition, colour mixing and artistic expression.

Each session offers a new theme or open-ended inspiration, allowing children to experiment freely in a supportive, indoor environment. The workshop is held in French, German and Luxembourgish and is suitable for beginners and budding artists alike.

Friday, 8 August

Book Collage: a creative bookmaking workshop for children with artist Joël Leick.

Konschthal Esch invites children aged 8 to 12 to take part in an imaginative workshop led by artist Joël Leick. Inspired by the format of the leporello (accordion book), participants will create their own visual stories using fragments of photos, wallpaper, and images. Drawing on a title or phrase, each child will construct a personal narrative across the pages of their handmade book.

Using techniques such as collage and monotype, and supported by the Konschthal team, children will explore the boundaries of art and storytelling. The workshop concludes with a small exhibition of the participants’ creations.

All materials are provided, though children are encouraged to bring photos of landscapes or people from personal albums or magazines. A work-friendly outfit is recommended.

Supervision is provided during the lunch break; children may bring a lunch box.

Saturday, 9 August

Animal Yoga: a playful yoga workshop for children inspired by the animal world.

Kannermusée PLOMM invites children aged 5 to 10 to discover the joy of movement through animal-inspired yoga poses. Led by certified instructor Sabine Tonnar-Stoltz, the session includes classics like Cat-Cow and Downward-Facing Dog, offering a fun and calming introduction to yoga in a supportive, child-friendly setting.

Designed for children and their accompanying adults, the workshop encourages shared experience, body awareness and wellbeing. No prior experience is needed – just bring a yoga or gym mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Sunday, 10 August

Guided walks on the Helper's Trail: history and nature in the footsteps of the Luxembourg resistance fighters.

The Our Nature Park invites walkers to retrace the footsteps of Luxembourgish escape helpers and resistance fighters during the Second World War. This 8 km guided hike through the surroundings of Troisvierges follows the Escape Helpers’ Trail (Sentier des Passeurs) – an historic route once used to flee forced conscription and reach safety in neighbouring Belgium.

Blending historical insight with a scenic outdoor experience, the tour is accessible to all with a moderate level of fitness. The walk is conducted in four languages and concludes back at the starting point.
