We've rounded up our top picks for family fun – while Wednesday is a bit quieter, the rest of the week is jam-packed with activities.

As is the case until 18 October, the LUGA exhibition remains open across the city, offering visitors a chance to enjoy an array of botanical sights and a variety of workshops.

This bank holiday Monday you can visit the Abbeye de Neumünster where the TOTO tour rolls into town. Focused on children’s well-being, this year’s theme – Colourful Plates, Colourful Lives – promotes healthy eating through playful activities like the Tasting LAB. The programme ends with a festive group meal and a publication featuring young participants’ ideas.

On Tuesday, there are still tickets available for the Luxembourg vs Ireland friendly at the Stade de Luxembourg. Irish fans always travel well, and it could be the perfect introduction to live football for the little ones. Kick-off is at 8.45pm – that might be past their bedtime, but certainly an experience they’ll never forget!

If that doesn't tickle your fancy, you could also learn all about bees, a species vital to our ecosystem. Departure is from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office at 5pm.

In keeping with the bee theme, on Thursday you can learn all about beekeepers and how to make honey. This is where health, biodiversity, sustainability, and local produce come together. Flavour is just as important, and participants will bake a honey cake using regional ingredients. The workshop is designed for children aged 10 and upwards.
