We've rounded up our top picks for family fun – and don't worry if Monday's looking a bit dull, things pick up quickly.

On Tuesday, little ones aged up to six can step into a playful wooden world at PippiLotta and her Kids' Village in Ettelbruck. Guided by the mischievous mouse PippiLotta, children are invited to build, move, and explore in a creative, hands-on environment. The free sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday through July – ideal for busy toddlers and weary parents.

Wednesday's a big one. At Villa Vauban, a gentle guided family tour gives parents and babies a chance to enjoy the museum together, finishing with a soft playmat moment to wind down. If you're in the north of the country, head to the Agriculture Hub in Ettelbruck for Gras Becomes Milk, where kids will discover just how dairy cows turn grass into your breakfast milk – ending, of course, with the highly competitive (and very entertaining) milking contest. Don't worry, it's a model cow. But still – this should be fun!

Thursday brings something for the grown-ups. The online workshop Understanding Your Child’s Emotional Needs dives into the meaning behind difficult behaviour, offering parents a chance to reflect, share, and learn new strategies to better support their little ones. It's in French, but open to all interested families.

And if your child didn't win the milking contest on Wednesday (or just wants a rematch), you can always head back on Friday and try again. While you're in town, make time for UNESCO4KIDS at Place Guillaume II – an interactive city tour for children aged 6 to 12, full of games, stories, and sensory experiences that bring Luxembourg’s Old Town and fortress to life through the lens of UNESCO World Heritage.

Saturday is buzzing – literally. In the Pétrusse Valley, kids aged 7 to 14 can learn all about bees at the Buzzing with Creativity event, where honey tasting, hive discovery, and candle-making turn science into sticky-fingered fun. For a more relaxed vibe, Family Day in Bertrange's Central Park offers games, concerts, delicious food, and space to just hang out. If your little ones are feeling adventurous, send them on the Nature Rally in Fischbach, where they'll explore the Old Schmelz geosite while uncovering stories like Napoleon's Hat and the mysterious Iron Man. For your older kids and teens (and young adults), Youth Art Week continues in Oberkorn at H2O, showcasing artworks by young creators aged 12–26. This year's theme? Solidarity.

Finally, round off the week on Sunday with a bit of puppet magic in Tadler, where the Puppet Festival transforms barns, garages, and even the village church into stages for object theatre, workshops, and street performances. Or head into town for a classic: the Cinémathèque in Luxembourg City is screening Curious George – perfect for kids aged 4–5 who want to join Coco the monkey on his big-city adventures. The screening is in German.

As always, this isn't a full list, just our favourites. For more ideas, check out our full June calendar and plan your next family adventure.
