On Sunday 28 April in Wiltz, the new children's museum PLOMM welcomed its first visitors!
There are numerous activities available for children in Luxembourg, but this week, there's something entirely new on the horizon! Introducing "Plomm" (meaning "feather" in English), the country's first-ever museum dedicated exclusively to children aged 0 to 12!
The museum's goal is to engage children through entertaining and interactive exhibits covering a variety of topics. According to an official statement, "The children's museum PLOMM provides a space for reflection, dialogue, and learning, allowing each child to explore at their own pace. It's a place where creativity and interaction mix. Children are prompted to inquire, play, assume various roles, and most importantly, actively participate with the activities in order to uncover and cultivate their unique ways to express themselves."
The museum will open its doors this Sunday. What can you expect? Well, from strolls through the enchanting "Tree of Tales" to guided tours of the temporary exhibition "LOVE," children are bound to be captivated. Other activities include readings accompanied by music, engaging creative workshops, a spectacular concert, delightful puppet shows, and much more. Below is a glimpse into the exciting lineup of activities available at the museum on its opening day and in the months ahead.
The museum emphasises that the activities this Sunday are free of charge, however, don’t wait too long to book! Some of them are already sold out.
