Villa LouvignyVilla Louvigny might be turned into concert hall

RTL Today
It is not yet known where the Ministry of Health would be moving to.

Minister of Culture Sam Tanson’s reply to LSAP MPs Marc Angel and Mars Di Bartolomeo’s parliamentary question clearly states that Villa Louvigny will, in the future, not only be the home of Ministries. The building, located in the municipal park in Luxembourg City, used to serve as the RTL headquarters and has since been the seat of the Ministry of Health. A date for the big move is yet to be set.

It is currently subject to discussion what could feasibly be done with Villa Louvigny in terms of reconstruction. The building is classified as a national monument. It is, however, likely that it will turn into a new cultural project — notably a concert hall for around 400 people. The aim is to reevaluate the building for artistic purposes, following the example of cultural venue ‘Flagey’ in Brussels.
