Ravensong began as a the solo project of Calvin Batley - who, among other projects is also involved with Fervency, a Danish alt-electronica duo - and now based in Luxembourg, Batley is concentrating on his solo project.
Recalling Alice In Chains, Silverchair and classic rock staples Deep Purple, Eagles, Led Zep... Ravensong is, ‘in essence, a collection of sketches and songs that grew into a band’.
Over the past year, the line up has expanded, Nelson Curado (of Kitschikers) came in on drums and Julien Camus features on Bass.
On Saturday 26 January Ravensong played a gig at Rocas to mark the release of the brand spanking new EP ‘Ups and Downs’ (acoustic) and also, as Blatley puts it ‘the start of Ravensong as a dark alternative rock band’.
