We've been thumping the tubs for a while now and your favourite genre-smashing, boundary-breaking alt-rock duo are back with N.O.V.A: It is the latest blistering single from their upcoming third album Parasites & Butterflies, due for release on 29 August 2025 via Marshall Records.
Following a trio of fierce singles: Monsters, Soprano, and Piranha, N.O.V.A finds Amy and Georgia louder, prouder, and more defiant than ever.
It’s a full-throttle celebration of identity and resilience. “This is a tribute to the women in our family and a refusal to apologise for who we are,” the duo share. “As two Black women in rock, we had to prove ourselves in the face of limited representation. Sticking to our guns has brought pride. This track honours the peers who paved the way and the progress we’ve made.”
Since emerging from the UK’s independent scene, the Mercury Prize and two-time BRIT Award nominees have rewritten the rules of modern rock. From Glastonbury to Summer Sonic, they’ve dominated major festivals, sold out headline shows worldwide, and toured alongside Foo Fighters, Muse, and Bring Me The Horizon, earning praise from legends like Tom Morello (“an incredible band”) and Elton John (“phenomenal”).
Directed by Charlie Rees, the explosive video sees Amy and Georgia lead a feral, all-femme moshpit, blending feminine power with raw, alt-rock intensity. It’s a cathartic, high-voltage performance that really cements the band’s fearless energy.
Recorded in Vermont with legendary producer Rich Costey (Muse, Foo Fighters, Deftones), Parasites & Butterflies is a genre-defying statement. Mixing dancefloor-ready detonations with moments of vulnerability, the album is set to be a sonic rollercoaster, fierce, expansive, and entirely Nova Twins.

After dominating 19 festivals this summer, including Glastonbury and a run with Biffy Clyro, the duo now gear up for their biggest headline tour yet, culminating in a major hometown show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on 18 October.
In the past few months, Nova Twins have kept the momentum at full throttle, with a show-stopping performance at the 2025 MOBO Awards, a fiery, sold-out fundraiser at London’s OMEARA (raising over £32K for War Child), and a thunderous live debut of Monsters on The Jonathan Ross Show.
Their influence extends well beyond the stage. They’ve fronted the covers of Kerrang!, NME, DIY, Alternative Press, and more, while picking up accolades from the AIM Awards, Kerrang! Awards, Music Week’s Women in Music, and the Nordoff & Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards. In 2022, they made history as the first Black rock band nominated for the Mercury Prize.
