Teased at a couple of DJ showcases, the Underworld inspired cut sees Kevin Parker returns with his first release on Columbia Records.

The track signals a bold new chapter for the project, drawing from the rich legacy of dance music while reimagining Tame Impala as a kind of future-primitive rave act.

Evoking the spirit of acid house’s golden age, mid-90s free parties, and outback bush doofs, End of Summer is a shimmering, shape-shifting journey that is both nostalgic and timeless it remains unmistakably Tame Impala.

The spontaneity and sonic experimentation that have defined Parker’s recordings are more vivid than ever, showcasing his meticulous craft and singular creative voice.

The track arrives with an accompanying short-form visual narrative directed by multidisciplinary artist Julian Klincewicz.

Kevin Parker has become one of the most influential artists of the last decade, known for creating expansive, genre-defying soundscapes entirely on his own: as writer, performer, producer, mixer, and engineer. He’s been nominated for four GRAMMYs, winning in 2024 for his collaboration with Justice on Neverender, and has collected 13 ARIA Awards (from 27 nominations) in his native Australia.

He’s also won a BRIT Award, earned Billboard and American Music Award nominations, and landed multiple #1 tracks on US Alternative Radio, including Lost In Yesterday and Is It True. His breakout hit, The Less I Know the Better, has surpassed 2 billion streams globally.

Tame Impala has headlined festivals and arenas worldwide and released four acclaimed albums: Innerspeaker, Lonerism, Currents, and The Slow Rush, the latter becoming his highest-charting release to date across the US, UK, and beyond.

As a sought-after collaborator, Parker has worked with artists including Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, SZA, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Thundercat, Kali Uchis, 070 Shake, Rihanna, Miguel, A$AP Rocky, and many others.
