The Black Keys are returning to Luxembourg's Rockhal on 29 June, courtesy of den Atelier, and Today Radio is giving you the chance to be there.

The Ohio-based duo – known for their gritty, blues-infused sound and powerful live performances – have been at the heart of modern rock for over two decades and they'll be at Rockhal on 29 June. Formed in Akron in 2001 by childhood friends Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, The Black Keys started as a DIY project.

They recorded their earliest songs in basements and makeshift studios, building a loyal underground following before breaking into the mainstream. Their early records, including The Big Come Up and Rubber Factory, earned critical praise and a growing fanbase. But it was Brothers in 2010 that marked their true breakthrough, winning three Grammy Awards and delivering the hit single Tighten Up.

The success continued with 2011's El Camino, which featured the infectious track Lonely Boy and took the band to arena stages around the world. The album also picked up another three Grammys and cemented their place in the modern rock canon.

In the years that followed, they released Turn Blue – their first US number-one album – and, after a brief hiatus, returned with a run of new records including Let’s Rock, Delta Kream, and 2024's Ohio Players.

With a sound rooted in classic blues and garage rock, The Black Keys channel influences like Junior Kimbrough, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson while maintaining a distinctive, modern edge. Their ability to evolve while staying true to their raw, minimalist style has earned them both critical acclaim and global success.

Now, with a new album and a renewed energy, den Atelier are bringing the duo back to Luxembourg for what promises to be one of the standout rock shows of the year.
