Tonight at 8pm on The Artist Hour, it’s all about the music of Inhaler, uninterrupted, back-to-back tracks from one of Ireland’s biggest breakout bands of the last few years.

Formed in Dublin in 2012, Inhaler is made up of Elijah Hewson (vocals and guitar), Josh Jenkinson (lead guitar), Robert Keating (bass), and Ryan McMahon (drums). They’ve steadily built a global following thanks to their sharp, melodic sound and anthemic songwriting.

Their 2021 debut album It Won’t Always Be Like This topped the charts in Ireland and the UK, driven by standout tracks like My Honest Face, Cheer Up Baby, and the title track itself. They followed it up in 2023 with Cuts & Bruises, featuring Love Will Get You There, If You’re Gonna Break My Heart, and These Are The Days, a record that deepened their sound while retaining their punchy, arena-ready edge.

This year, they returned with a third album, Open Wide, continuing to experiment with their sound and rhythmic shifts, including standout tracks like Billy (Yeah Yeah Yeah) and Your House.

Tonight’s Artist Hour on Today Radio will take you through the band’s journey so far, from early singles to their most recent releases, all with no interruptions and no talking, just the music that’s made Inhaler one of the defining indie rock acts of their generation.

And don’t miss Monday’s show, when we’ll be giving away tickets to see Inhaler live at den Atelier on 3 July.
